On December 12, 2008, C&F Financial Corporation issued a press release announcing it had received preliminary approval of its application for a $20 million investment by the United States Department of the Treasury under its Capital Purchase Program. A copy of the company’s news release is attached as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K and is incorporated herein by reference into this Item 8.01.
