Item 8.01 Other Events.

On June 4, 2007 Cytokinetics, Incorporated issued a press release announcing the presentation of data from clinical trials relating to its oncology program at the 2007 Annual Meeting of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) in Chicago, IL. Two of these abstracts relate to Phase II clinical trials evaluating ispinesib that were sponsored by GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) or the National Cancer Institute (NCI). The third abstract relates to a clinical trial sponsored by Cytokinetics evaluating SB-743921. A copy of the press release is being filed as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K, and is hereby incorporated by reference into this Item 8.01.
