Miami, FL - The Argentinian architect, Facundo Araoz, has become one of the most prominent leaders in the energy sector in South American. His versatile entrepreneurship and energy sector projects across the continent is attracting investment from the US.
As an architect, he is responsible for mixed construction projects across the globe. Having been the lead architect for Goldman Sachs Tower in New Jersey in 2000, to leading the Olympic Villa Master Planning in Honk Kong for the Beijing 2008 Olympics, to leading the construction boom during Argentina’s housing growth in the mid 2000s, Araoz has made his mark.
For the past decade Araoz has led the construction of Argentina’s — and that of neighboring countries’ — oil and gas extraction plants. Araoz is credited with Argentina's oil production increase at the tune of 9% from 2022. Araoz significantly expanded Argentina’s evacuation capacity and medium size output operations.
“I believe Argentina can increase oil output fivefold with the expeditious construction of oil wells and platforms,“ said Araoz.
Araoz introduced a new business approach to expanding drilling and extractions which included smaller production operations. This contributed more to growth than larger international oil companies did according to Argentine government reports. Araoz’s strategy accounts for a whopping 69% of Argentina’s surplus production in 2023.
Argentina is the world's 12th-largest producer of natural gas, accounting for 1% of global production. The country also ranks 18th in the world for natural gas consumption, consuming 39,112 cubic feet per capita every year.
Recently, Araoz was invited as keynote speaker to the XII International Litio Seminar Conference one of the most important meetings in the energy sector of Latin America. Facundo’s speech was attended by the CEO’s of every major energy company from Latin America including Brazil, Argentina, Colombia and Mexico.
“They all want to understand Facundo’s success in order to partner with him or to beat him,” shared Jose Jimenez CEO of Power Energy LLC.
In the US, Araoz has already begun setting the groundwork for contracts farms and contracts with energy giants such as Chevron. Araoz has been often called the Elon Musk of South America due to his versatile portfolio of businesses and daring approach to disrupting industries.
