(c) On July 27, 2006, Strayer Education, Inc. (the "Company") announced that it had appointed Karl McDonnell as President and Chief Operating Officer of the Company, reporting directly to Robert S. Silberman, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Company. This appointment was effective July 17, 2006. In the past ten years, Mr. McDonnell, 40, was Chief Operating Officer of Intelistaf, a healthcare staffing company, and held senior management positions at the investment bank of Goldman, Sachs & Co., and The Walt Disney Company. Mr. McDonnell holds an undergraduate degree from Virginia Wesleyan College and an MBA from Duke University.
