On December 15, 2004, American Vanguard Corporation issued a press release announcing that its wholly-owned subsidiary, AMVAC Chemical Corporation, licensed the trade name Nuvan® to Syngenta India Limited, a business unit of Syngenta Crop Protection AG (NYSE:SYT). The full text of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.
