On October 24, 2007, the Registrant stated that it expects to be on the bottom end of its diluted earnings per share (“EPS”) expectations for 2007 of $3.70 to $3.75 per diluted share, excluding the impact of merger-related and severance costs (including the additional cost of carrying financing incurred in advance of completion of the 2007 acquisitions), the cost of adoption of SFAS 123R, and other changes in accounting treatment.
