On July 28 2006, sanofi-aventis issued the press release attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 which is incorporated herein by reference. In connection with the investigation referred to in the attached release, sanofi-aventis has received grand jury subpoenas seeking the production of documents. Sanofi-aventis intends to provide all information required in response to this investigation.
