NEWS RELEASE

TEEKAY SHIPPING CORPORATION DECLARES DIVIDEND

Nassau, The Bahamas, April 7, 2005 — Teekay Shipping Corporation announced that its Board of Directors has voted to declare a cash dividend on its common stock of $0.1375 per share, payable on April 29, 2005 to all shareholders of record as at April 15, 2005.
