Tampa and New York – October 13, 2022 – Dick Colligan is an actor-comedian originally from New York that is becoming well-known in the Tampa and New York comedy and acting scenes.
Dick began his performance career at the age of two, dancing to the theme from Batman in the living room. He originally wanted to be Luke Skywalker growing up but after he found out that role was taken he decided to be an actor.
Since that time, he further developed his performance chops in high school theater and jazz band, performing sketch comedy at church and playing in a guitar duo at George Washington University.
He began doing standup in 2018 after moving to New York City, realizing “I loved the feeling of making people laugh and interacting with a live audience”.

In 2020 Dick signed with Hines and Hunt Management and began auditioning for film and TV, booking a co-lead in the feature Fall Fever and shortly thereafter booked his first lead role in the film The Hanging of William Cane.
The movie is based on the short story by best-selling author R.J. Hendricks II where a busted cattle drive leaves William with a choice: face financial ruin or risk everything by robbing a bank to provide for his family.

“The Hanging of William Cane was an incredible experience and the most fun I’ve ever had doing anything. The cast and crew were like a family and shooting in the town of Dry Creek was like traveling back in time. My co-stars Les Mc Dowell and Laura Stetman were incredible to work with as was the entire cast and production crew, led by R.J. Hendricks II who wrote the script and executive produced it.
“Preston Walden the director and Jeremiah Baumbach the DP were phenomenal professionals. Preston provides as much direction as needed to get the shot the right while Jeremiah is a master at getting the camera to tell the story. Preston, Laura and I will be teaming up again next year on the feature ‘And Then Came You’.”

The Hanging Of William Cane is currently playing on the festival circuit and has won numerous awards including Best Western at the LA Film Awards.

Dick recently performed at The Stand and Broadway Comedy Club in New York City as well as headlined a charity show for Part of The Solution, a Bronx, NY-based community aid group, and will be a featured act in the Frontline Love & Laughs show in Orlando benefitting military and emergency workers. On the film front, he is slated to co-star in Fall Fever, produced by Gehan Cooray (“The Billionaire”), and is producing and cast in the feature film Comic Relief, directed by Koura Linda (“Names On The Wall”).
