Item 5.02. Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers
On July 25, 2018, Whirlpool Corporation (the “Corporation”) announced the election of Matthew M. Nochowitz, 46, to the position of Corporate Controller, effective August 1, 2018. In this position, he will serve as the principal accounting officer of the Corporation.
Mr. Nochowitz joined the Corporation in 2005 as Tax Counsel. He served as Vice President, Tax from 2008 to 2015. He has served as Vice President, Corporate Tax and Treasurer since 2015. Mr. Nochowitz will retain his responsibility for Corporate Tax in his new role.
Material terms of the compensation arrangement for Mr. Nochowitz are not expected to change as a result of this appointment.
Mr. Nochowitz succeeds Joseph Lovechio, who is assuming the position of Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Whirlpool North America, effective August 1, 2018.
