SPI Energy’s Solarjuice Technology Launches 380W and 410W Solar Panels for Residential Market Under Solar4America Brand

SANTA CLARA, CA / ACCESSWIRE / March 30, 2022 / SPI Energy Co., Ltd. ("SPI Energy" or the "Company") (NASDAQ:SPI), a global renewable energy company and provider of solar storage and electric vehicle (EV) solutions for business, residential, government, logistics and utility customers, today announced Solarjuice Technology, Inc., the Company's solar manufacturing division, launched 380 watt (W) and 410W solar panels for customers in the residential market under the Company's Solar4America brand.

"We have invested significant capital to acquire state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment and R&D to stay ahead of the competition and deliver Local Solar products with better economics and superior quality," stated Mr. Xiaofeng Denton Peng, Chairman & Chief Executive Officer of SPI Energy. "The industry is very quickly moving away from 158.7mm cells, just introduced a few years ago. We recognized this transition, and our manufacturing facility is optimized to the new standard of 166mm and 182mm solar cells."

The high-efficiency modules for the Solar4America 380W (166mm cells) and 410W (182mm cells) all-black solar panels use a new circuit design that offers proven benefits, such as lower internal current, lower series resistance loss, much lower risks of hot spots, excellent anti-PID performance, and more.

Based on research from Wood Mackenzie, the US residential solar industry set new records in 2021 as consumer demand remains higher than ever. The market added 1,156 MWdc in the fourth quarter of 2021, reaching 4.2 GWdc of annual installed capacity, representing both quarterly and annual records. Installers completed more than 500,000 projects in 2021, the first time the segment has achieved this annual milestone. Residential solar installations grew 30% year-over-year, the highest annual growth rate since 2015.
