MBOLD, which is a coalition of Minnesota-based food and agricultural companies, hopes to enroll 50,000 acres of farmland in a program that will rely on cover cropping, reduced tillage, nutrient management and other tactics to improve water and air quality, sequester greenhouse gasses and increase farmland profitability.
