HDPE pipes, with their superior performance, have gradually replaced the previous cement and cast iron pipes. HDPE pipes are available in 18 grades with calibres from DN16 to DN315. HDPE pipes will be melted at a temperature of 190°C-240°C. Using this feature, the melted part of the pipe (or pipe fittings) will be fully contacted and kept under proper pressure, and the two can be firmly fused together after cooling. According to the size of the pipe, it can be divided into the following: when DN≤63, it adopts injection moulded hot melt socket connection; when DN≥75, it adopts hot melt butt connection or electric melt socket connection; when it connects with different materials, it adopts flange or silk buckle connection.
HDPE pipes are mainly used for: municipal engineering water supply system, indoor water supply system for buildings, outdoor buried water supply system and buried water supply system for residential communities and factories, old pipeline repair, water treatment engineering pipeline system, industrial water pipes for gardening, irrigation and other fields, etc. However, it should be noted that HDPE pipes cannot be used for hot water pipelines.
HDPE water pipeline is widely used, mainly because it has the advantages that other pipelines cannot match: 1, easy to butt welding and electrofusion welding and form a finished closed impermeable system. When laid along the trench, it can reduce the amount of trench excavation and reduce the amount of fittings. 2, light weight and easy to install and handle; 3, strong wear resistance and excellent hydraulic properties, in the buried pipeline can be without the outer layer of protection. It can be applied to earthquake and mining soil settlement areas, and can also be laid at the bottom of rivers by the sinking method. 4、Resistant to chemical corrosion, internal, external and microbial corrosion, strong corrosion resistance and healthiness. Suitable for conveying acidic and alkaline substances, conveying sewage, natural gas, gas and other substances; 5. Good environmental adaptability and frost resistance. Can be used for indoor and outdoor water supply pipes. 6. Long service life, with a service life of over almost 50 years. 7. Easy to recycle and use.
