ChipMOS REPORTS SEPTEMBER 2010 REVENUE

Hsinchu, Taiwan, October 15, 2010 – ChipMOS TECHNOLOGIES (Bermuda) LTD. (“ChipMOS” or the “Company”) (Nasdaq: IMOS) today reported its unaudited consolidated revenue for the month and quarter ending September 30, 2010.

Revenue for the month of September 2010 was NT$1,507.1 million or US$48.3 million, a decrease of 7.0% from the month of August 2010 and an increase of 31.2% from the same period in 2009. On a quarterly basis, revenues for the third quarter of 2010 was NT$4,717.3 million or US$151.2 million, an increase of 4.9% from the second quarter of 2010 and an increase of 40.9% from the same period in 2009. (All translations from NT dollars to U.S. dollars were made at the exchange rate of NT$31.19 against US$1.00 as of September 30, 2010.)

ChipMOS’ September 2010 consolidated revenues included revenues of ChipMOS TECHNOLOGIES INC., ChipMOS U.S.A., Inc., MODERN MIND TECHNOLOGY LIMITED and its wholly-owned subsidiary ChipMOS TECHNOLOGIES (Shanghai) LTD., and ThaiLin Semiconductor Corp.
