On February 18, 2016, following a meeting of the Board of Directors of United Continental Holdings, Inc. (the Company), the Company revised its share repurchase guidance for the first quarter of 2016 and now expects to spend approximately $1.5 billion repurchasing shares during the quarter. The Company previously announced its intention to repurchase at least $750 million of its shares in the first quarter of 2016. The Company now expects to complete its current $3 billion authorization, announced in July 2015, by the second half of 2016, ahead of the Companys original expectation to complete the program by the end of 2017.
