It's all about making money, she said. "As long as Facebook is operating in the shadows, hiding its research from public scrutiny, it is unaccountable." Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg dismissed Haugen's claims. However, The American Journal of Psychiatry Residents Journal cites a body of emerging research that shows that social media may be addictive.
