Beijing, China / TimesNewswire / March 17, 2023 – The Chinese Modernization Youth Forum held by CGTN has invited young scholars, opinion leaders and experts across the globe to have in-depth discussions on the essence and global impacts of China’s path to modernization, including perspectives on civilizations diversities, the win-win cooperation of globalization, cultural and mutual learning integration, and harmonious relationships between human beings and nature.
There is no set form of modernization or one-size-fits-all modernization standards in the world. The Chinese path to modernization is a keyword for the international community to understand China.
It is the modernization of a huge population, common prosperity for all, material and cultural-ethical advancement, harmony between humanity and nature, and peaceful development. These five features have been recorded in the report to the 20th CPC National Congress and profoundly reveal the connotation of Chinese modernization.
Youth representatives from the U.S., Greece, Colombia, South Africa, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Ghana and many other countries agreed that China’s success in modernization fully proves that every country can independently seek its own path to modernization in light of its specific national conditions.
During the series’ panel discussions, youth representatives shared their experience of working and living in China and talked about the opportunities that China’s modernization and deeper integration of globalization could create for the global youth as it moves forward on its new journey. Youth representatives also praised China’s modernization path for providing a sound development model to pursue common prosperity for all and helping each individual develop.
In the forum, youth representatives from many countries and regions called on the young generation around the world to play a leading role in resisting the outdated confrontational mentality and actively embracing the opportunities brought about by China’s pursuit of high-standards modernization and deeper integration of globalization.
