Myers To Offer Immersive Experience with Augmented Reality Powered TV Shows and Movies at Augmented Fans, LLC.

By: Get News

With a vast experience of more than 20 years in the technology sector; Myers is also an experienced SAG actor who has appeared in many web series on Netflix, Amazon Prime, and YouTube. He is most well-known from his role as Mike in the Super Hero Kids series, SHK HeroForce. However, after working for many shows and movies for the past several years, Myers realized that it is possible to provide a more immersive viewing experience to the audience through the power of augmented reality.

By utilizing his experience in the movie industry and technology sector; he has finally launched a company named Augmented Fans, LLC. Myers has also established a partnership with several production companies to be early adopters of his technology.

The main idea behind the creation of Augmented Fans, LLC is to serve viewers with the ability to connect to their favorite characters in the show in new and exciting ways. Myers and the production companies are planning to create shows that will have a unique impact and allow them to stand out when compared to other shows in the industry. Production companies expect that it will increase their number of views, open ways to engage fans through games, and really allow fans ways to get immersed into the worlds they have created.

The AR platform can be leveraged further through product placement sales offering advertisers a clear return on investment. When the advertiser’s product appears on screen users will be given the option to interact with the advertiser (or not if they so choose) but most importantly they will get engaged consumers that opt-in through this platform.  Reports say that Myers has developed all essential features of the platform, applied for a patent, and is ready to release the first shows before the end of the year with more launching in Q1 of 2020.

About Kenney Myers:

Kenney Myers is a SAG actor and entrepreneur who is currently focused in the direction of augmented reality to serve audiences around the world. He has recently launched a new company named Augmented Fans, LLC where his team will be working on several projects to create an immersive experience for viewers through interactive shows and movies. You can connect to him on several social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.

In order to know more about his upcoming projects, we asked Myers a few questions.

Q. What inspired you to establish an augmented reality company?

A. I actually loved the concept of Pokemon Go and how it made an impact on people around the world.  I started thinking of various ways to leverage augmented reality in a similar way that could have an impact on any industry.  One day when I was working on a green screen set I realized that placing image markers could be really easy for production companies and then we could allow fans to engage with the show in new and exciting ways.  I pitched the idea to the director, Neko Sparks, and we were off to the races.

Q. How is your project is going to benefit viewers on various streaming platforms?

A. Viewers will have a choice of either watching the stream like normal or holding up their smart phone and seeing all kinds of interactive content like director’s notes, behind the scenes content, bloopers, what the raw footage looked like, and other enhancements to the viewing experience.  There are also many different forms of games that viewers can play on our platform and show their love for the show.  The important concept here is that the user is in control of how little or how much they want to see.

Q. What according to your experience does the future hold for this technology in the entertainment industry?

A. I think we are just scratching the surface of what we can do with augmented and virtual reality in the TV and film industry.  We are looking at various ways to fully engage fans and let them choose the level of immersion into the world of a show.  Right now augmented reality is readily available through smart phones (almost everyone has a phone capable of augmented reality) but as virtual reality becomes more affordable and prevalent it will also play a role in the future of the entertainment industry.
