REVIEW: Cincinnati Opera’s ‘Barber of Seville’ an entertaining farce

Rossini’s “The Barber of Seville” is a comedy of wit, conniving schemes and silly disguises. Based on Beaumarchais’ play of the same name, the opera usually unfolds as one great crescendo over three hours. In Cincinnati Opera’s version performed outdoors on Saturday at Summit Park, the set-up was condensed to 90 minutes.
