Item 8.01.
Other Events

RGC Midstream, LLC ("Midstream"), a wholly-owned subsidiary of RGC Resources, Inc. (the "Company") is a 1% investor in the Mountain Valley Pipeline, LLC (the "LLC"). On August 16, 2018, the LLC issued a press release updating the current status of the pipeline project with regard to the stop work order issued by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission ("FERC"). As a result of the delays created by the stop work order, the LLC revised its expected in-service date of the pipeline from the first quarter of 2019 to the fourth quarter of 2019. In addition, the impact, if any, to the projected cost of the pipeline is unknown at this time. If the total project cost increases, then Midstream's required contribution would increase potentially resulting in a lower return on investment.

From time to time, the Company may publish forward-looking statements relating to such matters as anticipated financial performance, business prospects, technological developments, new products, research and development activities and similar matters. The Private Securities Litigation Reform Act of 1995 provides a safe harbor for forward-looking statements. In order to comply with the terms of the safe harbor, the Company notes that a variety of factors could cause the Company's actual results and experience to differ materially from the anticipated results or other expectations expressed in the Company's forward-looking statements.
