Item 8.01 Other Events.

On November 29, 2010, Corning Incorporated’s (the "Company") wholly-owned subsidiaries, Corning Hungary Data Services Limited Liability Company and Corning International Corporation, received dividend payments from Samsung Corning Precision Materials Co., Ltd. ("SCP") on SCP’s common stock, totaling 1.44 trillion Korean Won, having a U.S. Dollar equivalent of approximately $1.24 billion. The Company’s 50% ownership in SCP is beneficially held by these two wholly-owned subsidiaries of the Company.
