Item 7.01. Regulation FD Disclosure.
On February 22, 2011, Callon Petroleum Company (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing the closing of the sale of an additional 1,100,000 shares of its common stock pursuant to the underwriters’ exercise of the over-allotment option which the Company granted in connection with its recently closed public offering of 9,000,000 shares of common stock. A copy of the press release is furnished as Exhibit 99.1 hereto and is incorporated herein by reference.
