JoAna Byam has joined as a Registered Nurse Injector, and Dr. Alexis Cochran has been appointed as the new Medical Director. These new additions underscore the med spa’s dedication to providing top-quality care and the latest in aesthetic treatments.
Byam has a strong passion for patient care, which was cultivated from her years of experience as a nurse. Her background laid a solid foundation for her transition into aesthetic medicine, a field where she could combine her medical knowledge with creativity.
“I have worked as a bedside nurse for more than 20 years, spanning numerous departments of the hospital,” said JoAna Byam. “Leaving this role to pursue a lifelong passion for aesthetics, I have been employed full-time in the industry since 2019. I have also earned certificates to inject neurotoxins and then HA dermal fillers, Sculptra, and PRP/PRF injections for face and hair restoration. I am excited to be joining the excellent team at Bare Medical Spa as we both are devoted to continued improvement.”
Driven by an interest in wellness and anti-aging, Byam expanded her expertise further by attending various trainings for specialized services, including bioidentical hormone replacement therapy.
“I value continued education highly and spend hundreds of hours on trainings and courses to stay up to date with the ever-evolving medical aesthetic industry,” said Byam. “Joining Bare as a registered nurse injector will further that passion and allow me to help numerous people achieve their desired look — lifting their confidence!”
The team is equally thrilled to welcome Dr. Alexis Cochran as the new Medical Director.
"I’ve been an Emergency Medicine physician for over 16 years.” said Dr. Cochran “I was born in NY where I completed my medical school education then moved to Maine for residency. Since then, I’ve been working in NH Emergency departments and continue to do so.”
Dr. Cochran prioritizes patient safety and ethical practices, ensuring that patients feel valued and confident in their care. Her decision to join Bare Medical Spa was influenced by a shared philosophy, which includes a commitment to thorough consultations and an ongoing focus on provider education.
