“Wrapped Soil” invites readers during his earlier years in his village at Igbo-Ukwu, where he developed his brilliance and genius and then the sudden death of his father motivated him further to become a doctor when he meets a young British Missionary doctor in 1948 which motivated him even more to become one.

In his memoir the distinguished Professor of Medicine chronicles how in 1950s he grew from his early life in a rural African village of Igbo-Ukwu in Nigeria, with no electricity or water supply, to become a Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology in USA in 1970s, and then return to his very village of birth to successfully found and introduce his people to a modern hospital. His intermittent use of dialogues further enhance the narrative and keep his story compelling.
