Hong Kong yuan bonds will have muted market impact

Chinaâs decision to sell yuan-denominated sovereign bonds in Hong Kong was a small step in the mainlandâs long journey toward capital account convertibility, but analysts say it is unlikely to be a big step in significantly boosting either the cityâs liquidity or shares traded there in the near term.
