MTXX Sharply Higher in Early Trading

Matrixx Initiatives Inc. (MTXX) is up 56.05% ($7.99, +$2.87) on news it will be acquired by H.I.G Capital, a leading global private investment firm, at a price of $8 a share, for a total value of approximately $75.2 million. The offer represents a 56.3% premium to the MTXX’s closing price on December 13, 2010.
