JPMorgan Chase announced today that it will help its customers who are military personnel with their finances if the government shuts down. That could include waiving certain fees and extending additional credit.
“We stand ready to help our military personnel deal with this unfortunate situation,” said Charlie Scharf, head of Retail Financial Services at JPMorgan Chase. “We encourage military customers to contact us if they have an immediate financial hardship from the shutdown.”
Chase will continue to monitor the situation to assess and respond to ways that customers may be affected.
Chase is the U.S. consumer and commercial banking business of JPMorgan Chase & Co.
