ADP: U.S. firms add 179,000 jobs in April

The U.S. private sector added 179,000 jobs in April, the lowest increase since November, the payroll-handling firm Automatic Data Processing Inc. said Wednesday. In a separate report, outplacement firm Challenger Gray says company layoffs fell in April to their third lowest level in 16 months.
