It’s Gotta Be The Shoes: Andreessen-Horowitz Puts $40 Million Into Red Hot ShoeDazzle

Back in December of last year, we did an interview with ShoeDazzle CEO Brian Lee discussing whether his company was going to be the next Los Angeles-based web hit. That answer now appears to be a big "yes". Andreessen-Horowitz has just closed a $40 million funding round in the company. This massive round follows a large $13 million round in April 2010 which was led by Lightspeed Venture Partners and participated in by Polaris Venture Partners (who led the $7 million Series A). Total funding is just over $60 million. And this latest round puts the valuation of the company well north of $200 million, we hear.
