US Stocks to Open Lower; Economic Data Eyed

US stock index futures pointed to a slightly lower open on Wall Street Tuesday as the east coast of America began the rebuilding operation in the wake of hurricane Irene and investors waited for key economic data this week to provide a greater indication of the state of the US economy.
