PR Log - May 31, 2012 - On May 30, 2012 the red carpet became the green carpet for both envy and style as internationally beloved supermodel/socialite Farah Zulaikha stepped out in a gorgeous emerald green gown for the CLARINS Million Meals Concert for FEED by Lauren Bush at Lincoln Center. The goal of the star-studded fundraiser was to provide one million school meals to underprivileged children in developing countries worldwide. The program included remarks about the hunger crisis by former U.S. President Bill Clinton and performances by superstar singers John Legend and Natasha Bedingfield, violin prodigy David Aaron Carpenter and the SALOME chamber orchestra, former Destiny's Child member Michelle Williams, and the P.S. 22 choir. Other celebrity attendees from the realms of entertainment and fashion included Ivanka Trump, Donna Karan, Jason Wu and Rachel Roy.

As per usual Farah Zulaikha was the belle of the ball. The supermodel donned an exquisite self-designed glittering green creation with heavy and intricate middle-eastern embroidery using hand-beaded Swarovski crystals and 24k gold threading. She paired the outfit with antique 24k gold earrings and matching forehead jewelry encrusted in emeralds and uncut diamonds. She completed her middle-eastern goddess look with her Louis Vuitton special edition "Roses" bag and a traditional henna tattoo on one hand. Joining her on the red carpet was her stunning mother CEO of PMR Fountain Of Youth and celebrity skincare guru Nayyar Mallick who wore a similar creation in a striking black and gold combination.

Overheard chatting with FEED Founder Lauren Bush and Clarins Chairman Christian Courtin-Clarins, Farah Zulaikha expressed the need for solving the hunger crisis in developing countries. Zulaikha stated "I know children are hungry all over the world. However when I go back to the land of my ancestry in the middle-east, childhood hunger is there, it's staring at you in the face in the form of a hungry child begging on the streets for food. It is heartbreaking. Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq... my heritage is from these countries. And I see myself in the eyes of these children. I was lucky enough to be born into a wealthy family in the United States, but I am no different from these children. We are one in the same. It was my duty to come here tonight to represent the middle-east, and to represent my stance on ending childhood hunger around the world."

It was a night to remember, and one million children in countries around the world will receive their nutritious school meals thanks to those who supported the event. Through the sale of her socially-conscious FEED Projects reusable tote bags, former model and presidential relative Lauren Bush Lauren has helped to feed about 60 million children school meals in some of the poorest countries around the globe.
