PR Log - Jul 25, 2012 - Louis Colaiannia, world-renowned New Age composer/pianist writes a very moving song for the families of the victims of the Aurora, Colorado theatre shooting.
Colaiannia arranged the new song after Jessica Allen, a recent Arvada High School graduate contacted him about this project. Allen plays cello in Colaiannia's band.
"After the Aurora shooting, I was horrified at the extent of the damage done by this one person," Allen said.
"I felt terrible for the victims, survivors and families of all the people involved, including the police officers," Allen said.
Allen contacted Colaiannia about composing a special song for those involved with this tragedy. "We decided that we wanted to do something to thank the officers and let the survivors of this terrible occurrence know that they are in our thoughts," Colaiannia said.
"My thoughts and prayers go out to all those impacted by this tragedy," Colaiannia said. "I want to share the song with people hoping it may bring peace and comfort," Colaiannia said.
Colaiannia and Allen worked together and recorded the song this week. "This song is our gift to people who may benefit from hearing it," he said.
Copies of the CD will be dropped off to the Aurora Police Department. Copies will also be delivered to the survivors in hospitals as well.
"This song is dedicated to all who were involved with this tragedy," Colaiannia said.
Features of the track include:
