As personal video capture becomes an increasingly common aspect of everyday life, the market potential for associated products has witnessed an exponential growth. Never before has video been a more important, vital part of the human experience.
Yet the video space is full of competition, with many companies focusing on user profiles and friend feeds. A novel approach is being offered by Vevue (http://vevue.com/), a mobile App that allows users to employ the visual medium of video to create reviews of their favorite restaurants, bars, hotels and stores and share them with friends, family and anyone else.
Vevue’s focus begins with Google+ business pages. Currently when a user visits a Google business page, Google gives the option to upload a photo. Vevue, through their Chrome Extension, takes this option to the next level by allowing users to see video reviews, or Vevues, created by themselves and by others on these Google pages. All users need to do is download the Vevue Android App, search their location and create a 30 second video review.

Once submitted, the video review is hosted on the Vevue YouTube channel and the extension places the video on the correct Google Business page. Yet Vevueing doesn't stop with business profiles alone. With the recent release of Vevue 2.0, users now have the ability to geotag their GPS coodinates and submit video reviews of any location. These Vevues can be viewed by anyone across the globe by accessing the Vevue world map within the App.
Immense potential exists for video reviews of this type, with the future option of having an API place user-created Vevues on Yelp, Facebook and other social networks that provide business profiles. Just as the visual experience offered by future products, such as Google glasses, will transform how we view our world, the Vevue App will transform how we review our world.
