PR Log - Dec 05, 2012 - On September 1, 2012, Readers Favorite announced "REICHOLD STREET" the debut novel of Michigan author Ronald L. Herron, had been selected as a 2012 Readers Favorite Gold Medal Winner, in the Young Adult, Coming-of-Age genre.
The award ceremony, where Ron was presented his medal by Readers Favorite CEO Debra Gaynor, was held November 17, 2012, during the International Book Fair in Miami. One of the celebrity authors making a presentation at the ceremony was noted actor/director Paul Michael Glaser, who came to fame for his work on the early 70s television series "Starsky & Hutch." Glaser also won a silver medal for his fantasy novel, "Chrystallia."
"REICHOLD STREET" is a moving account of a group of young urban friends who come-of-age in the turbulent 1960s. It follows them, from the viewpoint of many characters, through normal teenage angst, to madness, murder and suicide, all the way to the unlikely redemption of war.
