Arwood's Furniture Plans Re-Opening After Warehouse Roof Collapse

By: PRLog
PR Log - Mar 09, 2013 - Arwood's Furniture plans to reopen its doors after being closed for nearly two weeks. Arwood’s Furniture, located in Warrensburg, Missouri, is prepared to open to the public on Monday, March 11th at 9am.

Arwood’s closed on February 27th when accumulated snow caused a section of their warehouse roof to collapse. No one was harmed as a result of the accident but the loss of inventory and revenue was severe.

The resulting damage was further complicated as the falling roof took down a fire sprinkler water line adding thousands of gallons of water to the tons of snow. The full extent of the damage done has still not been fully determined.

Jim Arwood, owner of Arwood’s Furniture & Mattress was quoted as saying, “we want to get back to taking care of our customers even though our showrooms and warehouse aren’t fully functional.” It is expected to take several months to complete all the repairs.

Arwood's Furniture & Mattress is located at 801 Pride Ave in Warrensburg. It is a family owned and operated business that was established in 1986 by Jim and Debbie Arwood and has since grown to become Missouri's Largest Furniture Store. Arwood's Furniture & Mattress offers their customers the ability to browse a 125,000 square foot showroom which features name brand manufacturers of home furnishings, home decor, and mattresses while still offering the customer service of a locally owned business.
