Topsail Park Presents Live Concerts, Alys Beach Hosts Unique Art Festival with “Digital Graffiti", and Seaside Has 4th of July Parade.
PRLog - Jun 05, 2013 - DESTIN, Fla. -- Every Thursday in June, Topsail Hill Preserve State Park will present Americana Under the Stars. Visitors will enjoy live performances hosted by Lucky Mud. Local musicians will start out the evening each week at 5pm for open mic and the concert will start at 6pm in the Topsail amphitheater. This is a free event with donations going to Friends of Topsail Hill Preserve.
Sunday mornings in June and July, local favorite seafood restaurant Stinky's Fish Camp on Scenic Highway 30-A is having brunch available with live music. Bluegrass band The Steenos will be playing and brunch will be from 11am to 2pm.
Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation hosts a summer concert series on Wednesday nights at 7pm. Held at the Dugas Pavilion in Destin, guests can bring lawn chairs, food and drinks and enjoy live entertainment outside under the stars. Local restaurants will also provide meals to purchase each week. June will bring in local reggae band Heritage and Alter Eagles, an Eagles tribute band. David Seering will perform patriotic favorites in celebration of Independence Day in July.
Digital artists from around the world will be projecting their unique art on the white walls of Alys Beach June 7th and 8th weekend. "Digital Graffiti" is the first projection art festival and a highlight of the year. On Saturday night, VIE magazine will host a red carpet pre-party open to all guests with DJ Chachi performing at the Caliza pool. Tickets can be purchased for one or both days and there are condos in the area available for those staying overnight.
For the Fourth of July, Seaside will have a parade along Scenic Highway 30-A ending in the Seaside area. The parade starts at 8am at Seagrove Plaza and will head west on 30-A. Those participating will march the parade dressed in patriotic costumes with festive holiday floats. A panel of judges will give prizes to the best entries in a variety of categories. Accommodations can be made to stay in nearby vacation rentals
