Stocks Open Flat After Dow, S&P End at All-Time Highs

Stocks struggled for direction Friday, as investors took a breather after the previous session's rally that propelled the Dow and S&P 500 to fresh closing highs and despite upbeat earnings reports from banking giants Wells Fargo and JPMorgan.
