Dan and Donna Cisson sued Bard over its Avaulta pelvic mesh, which Donna Cisson alleges caused her to suffer serious injury, according to court documents in Cisson v. C. R. Bard, Inc. (MDL-2187; 2:11-cv-00195; U.S. District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia). They allege that the medical device was designed defectively. Dr. John Miklos of Atlanta, who performed Cisson’s second revision surgery on her Avaulta Plus vaginal mesh, also testified.
