Destin’s Annual Seafood Festival is Bigger and Better than Ever

The 35th Annual Seafood Festival Takes Over HarborWalk Village and Baytowne Wharf Hosts Beer Festival.
PRLog - Oct. 1, 2013 - DESTIN, Fla. -- The annual Seafood Festival is one of the many special attractions of the Emerald Coast. This is the 35th year and will take place at the HarborWalk Village on October 4th-6th. Dozens of local vendors will provide fresh caught seafood and guests will enjoy live music at multiple stages around the Harbor. This year, there is no admission charge with donations being accepted at the entrance. Over 60,000 visitors are expected to attend the three day festival full of great food, music, art and fireworks.

South Walton Fashion Week will be held at Grand Boulevard’s Town Center on October 11th-13th. Aspiring models and designers will come together to celebrate high fashion with preview parties, trunk shows, and runway events. Sunday will include a runway show featuring kids’ fashion. Proceeds will benefit the Cultural Arts Alliance of Walton County. The Village of Baytowne Wharf will present the 6th Annual Beer Festival October 18th and 19th. Over 200 domestic and international craft beers from 40 breweries will be available for sampling. On Friday evening, Marlin Grill will host a “Beer From Around Here” dinner at the Events Plaza Lawn with barbecue and regional beers. Saturday will be the main tasting event from 2pm-6pm.  Live entertainment will be provided by Denton Hatcher and the Soapbox Blues and The Modern Eldorados.

Destin Festival of the Arts is one of Northwest Florida’s premier fine art shows. On October 26th and 27th, over a hundred artists will come from around the country to display their art and compete for prizes. This year, the event will be held at Mattie Kelly Cultural Arts Village. Live music will be featured both days at the Dugas Pavilion. Over 4,000 are expected to attend and enjoy unique art, crafts, live entertainment, and activities for all ages. For those staying overnight, accommodations can be made at nearby rentals in the Destin area.
