Firm to handle all media relations and publicity for new football league
PRLog - Oct. 18, 2013 - BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. -- Pulse Media International has been named as the Media Relations and Publicity Partner for the Professional Football Showcase (PFS), it was announced today by Colleen Cole-Velasquez, Director of Public and Media Relations Services for Pulse Media. The PFS is a professional football league designed to help players and coaches, showcase their talent to higher leagues, such as the National Football League (NFL) and the Canadian Football League (CFL).
The PFS will provide players with a real opportunity to play professional football. For some players, it will be a dream come true to step on the field and play football for compensation once again. The teams will have a close bond with the community, because 80 percent of the players from that team will come from the local area. There is also a strong commitment in the advancement of players to more prominent regional and national leagues such as the NFL and CFL. All teams in the league are owned by the league itself.
The Professional Football Showcase (PFS) will begin playing in 2015, with the season running from May through July, with teams from 8 different cities, all located in California and Nevada. It will include teams in Las Vegas, San Diego, Bakersfield, Orange County, Ventura Beach, Long Beach, Fresno and San Bernardino County.
The PFS will not attempt to compete with the CFL or NFL, but instead will focus on providing a safe environment for its players to develop, and hopefully reach these higher leagues. The PFS will essentially do the same work as minor league baseball does for Major League Baseball (MLB).
