A growing interest in art as an investment adds to the international interest in art collecting as galleries from South Korea, Belgium, France and the U.K. join top U.S. galleries at the Palm Springs Fine Art Fair, February 13-16, 2014.
PRLog - Jan. 22, 2014 - PALM SPRINGS, Calif. -- The global economy of art reaches Palm Springs, which has become an international gathering for many types of art, including film, architecture, design, performance and other art forms. The four-day fair immerses visitors in an experience of buying and selling, appreciation of works of art, and informative panel talks surrounding all aspects of Fine Art, all set in sun-soaked Palm Springs. The international Fine Art market continues to grow and the show attracts buyers from around the world.

Rick Friedman of HEG, which produces five Fine Art fairs including PSFAF, sees the global interest growing, “At each of our shows, there is a core local market, but the international investors are coming to the U.S. shows to buy and invest.” The art on display in the Palm Springs Fine Art Fair is valued at more than $100 million dollars, and millions in Fine Art is sold during the four-day event says Friedman.

Along with top U.S. galleries such as Jane Kahan Fine Art and Throckmorton Art Gallery, international peers artcompany Misoosidae (South Korea), Cynthia Corbett Gallery (U.K.), Frederic Got Gallery (France) and Vogelsang Gallery (Belgium) are among the galleries exhibiting at this year’s Palm Springs Fine Art Fair.

There are many international artists exhibiting their work including Ahmad Zakii Anwar (Malaysia), Chul Hyun Ahn (South Korea), Delaider Almeida (Brazil), Boaz Vaadia (Israel), Kumiko Fuijinami (Japan) and many others.
