PRLog - Feb. 21, 2014 - HOUSTON -- Members walking into the newly opened Smart Financial (SFCU) branch in Spring, TX, will find a cutting-edge experience. The fast-growing, Houston-based credit union opened a 1,580 square-foot end cap in January as the first in a line of many innovative, operationally efficient branches that offer more convenience in a smaller space. Nova conscientiously addressed serving multiple member segments, while requiring a staff of only 3 to 4 to operate. Interactive Teller Machines (ITM’s) provide a complete self-service option, while stand-up dialogue pods offer traditional-style transaction areas in a compact space. The concept is designed to give members revolutionary convenience, while still offering the human experience.

SFCU has collaborated with NRG since late 2012 to develop their retail branding program. As the credit union looked to economically and quickly expand their network while augmenting the larger, existing “hub” branches, they embraced Nova’s Express Branch concept. The branch in Spring is the first of its kind in several that are planned for SFCU.
