PRLog - Apr. 24, 2014 - EAST RIDING, U.K. -- Driffield author, Stuart Aken, is celebrating the launch of his latest book with 5 star reviews. ‘Joinings: A Seared Sky’, is the first in a fantasy trilogy and tells of a disparate group of pilgrims on an adventurous mission to save their world from disaster posed by a celestial omen.
Dan Grubb, owner of Holderness-based Fantastic Books Publishing, accepted the novel as soon as he’d read it. “my first read invoked feelings of moving through a Tolkien-esque landscape. After that, I couldn't turn it down! ‘’ he said. He’s produced video interviews with the author and some of the characters to generate wide interest in the book.
“I’ve been writing for as long as I could hold a pen,” says Stuart, ‘I now have eight books out, and have contributed to other anthologies as well as to magazines. I love storytelling and feel honoured to be part of a tradition going back to man’s earliest days around the campfire.”
You can borrow Stuart’s earlier romantic thriller, Breaking Faith, from Driffield library, where it’s proved popular with local readers. His new book can be ordered as a quality paperback from local bookshops, quoting the title, Joinings: A Seared Sky, and the ISBN – 978-1-909-163-30-0. It’s also available in ebook or paperback form through online retailers and the publisher’s store at http://www.fantasticbookspublishing.com/.
