Power sellers nervous after recent announcement. iControlEnergy launches Broker Bill of Rights to protect home based business owners.
PRLog - Jan. 20, 2015 - TOLEDO, Ohio -- More shakeup in the energy market this month as network marketing company North American Power effectively closes it doors.  In a statement sent out last week officials said “After a lot of thoughtful analysis, discussions, and soul-searching, it is with a heavy heart that we are announcing the end of the Thrive and North American Power opportunity. This was an extremely difficult decision that was not taken lightly.”

As a result, Ohio based iControlEnergy which sells both residential and Commercial energy in over 35 states through hundreds of local utilities  as well as Home Automation available in all 50 states, through a growing number of independent brokers, announced a new “Bill of Rights” for its business partners. iControlEnergy’s founder and President Doug Teskey released the document at a meeting at their home office in Toledo, OH.

Said Teskey,  “With all the turmoil in the energy space right now we thought it was important to create a Bill of Rights for our Independent Brokers.  This document ensures that all of our Brokers, no matter where they live or how long they have been with the company, keep the customers they bring to us via their marketing efforts and are theirs for as long as they stay active. “

Teskey’s announcement is especially timely relative to the announcement earlier this week that direct sales company North American Power, of Norwalk, CT, recently dissolved their network marketing division and distributor agreements, leaving thousands of business owners high and dry.

North American Power is not the only high profile company in the energy market to be experiencing problems. Direct sellers Momentis and Ignite have also had allegations recently with customer “slamming” and claims that they are operating as an illegal pyramid.

Says Teskey, “Our goal is to legitimize direct sales as a powerful and ethical marketing tool for the industry. Since 2006, we have done everything in our power to support and defend our Independent Brokers and this new Bill of Rights is just another step in that direction.”
