PRLog - Feb. 6, 2015 - (Houston, Texas & Rotterdam, Holland)– A.Hak Industrial Services BV, A.Hak Industrial Services US, LLC, A.Hak InTank Services, LLC, and TechCorr USA, LLC have amicably resolved their lawsuit regarding, among other things, the use of the InTank trademarks and the rights to the underlying technology for robotic on-stream tank bottom inspection systems and services.
TechCorr, with full rights to the original InTank design work including but not limited to the OTIS®, SCAVENGER®, and GOTIS technology, will deploy its nearly eight years experience performing in-service robotic tank inspection services to improve the technology incorporating many features it believes brings improved performance and value to the technology, marketing the system under a new brand name to be announced in the future.
A.Hak remains the sole owner of a number of patents and IP related to the InTank Technology, and is also the sole owner of the trade names and trademarks related to the InTank technology, including OTIS®, Scavenger® and Gotis. A.Hak will, based on their experience in the inspection market, further develop the robotic tank bottom inspection technology.
Vincent Summa, CEO of Summa Group, LLC and president of TechCorr stated, “This settlement will allow TechCorr and A.Hak to put behind their differences enabling each organization to compete on merit considering the root design of each company's technology is based on twenty years of InTank’s development efforts”.
Johan Robbe, Managing Director of A.Hak Industrial Services BV, the parent company of A.Hak US and A.Hak InTank states, ”This settlement will allow both companies to further develop and explore the market of the Online Robotic inspection technology of tank bottoms, without further distraction”.
