A new brewery supply company has formed in South Texas. Brewery Direct, headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, with warehouses in North and South Texas, will provide quality ingredients (malts, hops and adjuncts) to breweries in Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana.

(JBBS), in San Antonio, Texas, has established a new brewery supply company: Brewery Direct, with two warehouse locations in San Antonio and Dallas, Texas, will supply breweries in Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana with quality ingredients for their beers. Brewery Direct will begin fulfilling orders later this month.
Johnson Brothers Bakery Supply has been in the baking industry for over 20 years, and has supplied bakeries and restaurants in 4 states with quality baking ingredients. With a large distribution, quality ingredients and years of excellent customer service, JBBS decided to create a brewery supply company.
“Bakers and brewers use almost the same ingredients in their products,” says Kevin Johnson, President of Johnson Brothers Bakery Supply and Brewery Direct. “They both use grain, water, yeast and some kind of flavoring. In fact, several breweries already use our products in their beers.”
This is not the first time Johnson Brothers Bakery Supply has been active in the beer community. Last year, JBBS created the “Tap-Tober 5K Beer Run and Walk,” which included San Antonio breweries and craft beer establishments, to raise money for Project Angel Fares, a non-profit organization in San Antonio. Project Angel Fares provides special needs children and their families with trips to Morgan's Wonderland, located in San Antonio. Morgan’s Wonderland was created to provide a safe, clean and beautiful environment free of economic barriers that all individuals, regardless of age, special need or disability, can come to and enjoy. It truly is a one-of-a-kind place for children.
Initially, Brewery Direct will only provide malts and adjuncts (sugars, spices and purees) to breweries; eventually, they will also include a large variety of hops and yeasts in its vast portfolio.
JBBS has contracted Untapped Public Relations (UPR) to develop and manage this new endeavor. UPR will also be handling all sales and marketing, as well as procuring new products for Brewery Direct’s portfolio. Johnson Brother Bakery Supply has contracted Untapped Public Relations in the past to promote and secure sponsorships for the “Tap-Tober 5K Beer Run and Walk”.
