Athalonz Unveils G-Force Shoes Prototype at Rawlings Gold Glove Awards

By: PRLog
MESA, Ariz. - Dec. 21, 2015 - PRLog -- Sports Science Technology Company Athalonz sponsored the 2015 Rawlings Gold Glove Awards hosted on November 10. The Awards, which honor defensive players in the MLB for being “The Finest in the Field,” was also an occasion for headline sponsor Athalonz to unveil their prototype G-Force Shoes, a baseball cleat that received widespread attention from many of the attending baseball players.

Some of the MLB’s biggest stars stopped by the Athalonz table to sign shoes, including third-baseman Brooks Robinson, manager Joe Torre, and first-baseman Eric Hosmer. Promising to redefine footwear in baseball using completely redesigned insoles, midsoles, and outsoles, G-Force shoes are currently in production, but Athalonz isn’t waiting to get involved in the MLB scene.

Tested by over 30 Major League players, Athalonz technology is quickly capturing the attention of players from high school to the big leagues. One MLB pitcher said, “I don't know how it works, I just know that I throw 6 mph harder with better control.”

The Rawlings Gold Glove Awards celebrate some of baseball’s finest players, recognizing athletes whose overall performances stand out amongst their teammates. To qualify, players must meet a laundry-list of requirements based on their favored positions, but it isn’t just their statistics that count. The manager and coaching staff of each team vote, but aren’t allowed to choose their own players.

Big winners in 2015 include pitcher Dallas Keuchel from Houston, catcher Salvador Perez from Kansas City, and third-baseman Manny Machado from Baltimore. The Golden Glove Awards date to 1957, when Elmer Blasco discovered that 83% of players chose Rawlings gloves when given the choice.
