The Civic Sedan joins other Honda family members in receiving Top Safety Pick+ kudos for the 2016 model year: the 2016 Honda Accord, the 2016 Honda CR-V, and the 2016 Honda Pilot.
A Breakdown of Civic’s TSP+ Designation
The honor of being distinguished as a Top Safety Pick+ vehicle is granted to automobiles that feature an available front crash prevention system and earn an “Advanced” or “Superior” rating from the IIHS.
Components of the Civic Sedan’s IIHS Top Safety Pick+ designation include receipt of a “Superior” rating for frontal crash prevention when equipped with the Honda Sensing lineup of technologies, available in all 2016 Civic models.
The Civic Sedan additionally received a “Good” rating in five IIHS crash tests.
