God planted a seed and brought this incredible song Perceptions to life for the world to hear.
FLINT, Mich. - Feb. 23, 2016 - PRLog -- “All alone a brand new place, in my mind the noises race and I can’t give you reasons how I feel.” Those were the first words that came to mind when Lonny Ray sat contemplating what it must feel like to live with Autism. Those powerful words would set the tone for what would become the song Perceptions.

Lonny Ray, a prolific songwriter who has placed songs on the popular television shows NCIS and Dexter as well as the Academy Award winning Producer Jim Wilson’s film 50 to 1, is no stranger to the songwriting community. He has been nominated for multiple Detroit Music Awards for his songwriting and performances across the region.

“Perceptions” has been such an incredible experience,” said Ray. "From the moment I penned those first words, the vision began to unfold and I was transported to become a part of the journey that Josh Stokes and fellow songwriter Mike Vandeville had placed in my mind weeks before.”

Each line in the song was carefully placed and crafted to evoke an emotional experience for the listener. The story of a mother and child with the ability to overcome overwhelming communication and understanding odds was taking shape. The poignancy of lyrics such as, “Seasons come and things will change, puzzle pieces rearrange, but that doesn’t mean that I won’t be here for you,” encapsulates the ever changing tides of emotions for those afflicted with Autism. Taking great care to incorporate symbolic imagery such as the puzzle piece, the universal symbol for autism awareness, the songwriter's combined talents bring the music and lyrics to life.

The finished product is a powerful ballad set for release on March 29th, 2016. Performed by former American Idol contestant Taylor Walls and singer/songwriter Chas Burtchett, Perceptions is set to leave an impact on all who hear the beautiful melody and message of this song.
