With Engine Drive, a lock-up clutch mechanism is used to connect the engine and propulsion motor, providing power from each.
This fresh approach to hybrid technology allows the Accord Hybrid to attain best-in-class fuel economy ratings of an EPA-estimated 49 mpg in the city and 47 on the highway.* It leads the competition despite having to live up to the more stringent EPA ratings system for 2017.
In addition to its ultra-efficient powertrain, the 2017 Accord Hybrid has been restyled and provides enhanced standard and available equipment across its Hybrid, Hybrid EX-L, and Hybrid Touring trim levels.
The Honda Sensing Suite of driver assistance technologies is notably provided as standard across all models, delivering collision mitigation braking system, lane departure warning, forward collision warning, lane keeping assist system, road departure mitigation, and adaptive cruise control. The EX-L and Touring even boast an upgraded Display Audio touchscreen interface with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.
